🍎🍏Teacher Appreciation Week🍎🍏

As a teacher with over a decade of experience, I have witnessed and truly understand the dedication and love that teachers pour into our children day in and out. That’s why my children and I crafted these beautiful Spring Flowers as a token of our appreciation for their AMAZING teachers! Along with the spring flower craft, I brainstormed 5 simple yet heartfelt ways to appreciate teachers and show them just how much we value their hard work!

Praise teachers in front of your children and others. Create an environment that respects and supports teachers!
Ask your child to write down three of their favorite classroom memories to give as a gift to the teacher.
Donate small, new, or gently used toys to the classroom treasure box.
Surprise your teacher with a beautiful bouquet of flowers, handpicked from either the store or your yard to brighten up their day!
GIFT CARDS, GIFT CARDS, GIFT CARDS! Teachers have never met a Target they didn’t like.
Teachers! We thank you!

Praise Teachers:

Praise teachers in front of your children and others. Create an environment that respects and supports teachers! Share specific instances when the teacher’s guidance, patience, or creativity made a significant positive impact on your child. By praising teachers in front of your children, you not only boost their admiration and respect for their teacher but also inspire them to recognize and value the hard work and dedication that goes into daily teaching. Additionally, extend your praise beyond your immediate circle by sharing positive experiences and stories about teachers with friends, family, and even on social media. This helps promote a culture of respect and appreciation for teachers.

Three Favorite Memories:

Ask your child to write down three of their favorite classroom memories to give as a gift to the teacher. Encourage your child to reflect on their favorite classroom memories and write them down as a heartfelt gift for their teacher. These memories could include special lessons, field trips, fun activities, or moments their teacher made them feel like GOLD. By capturing these cherished experiences, your child not only expresses gratitude but also reminds teachers why they teach. The gift of memories serves as a reminder of the lasting impressions teachers make on their students.

Donate Small Toys:

Donate small, new, or gently used toys to the classroom treasure box. Take one small item off a teacher’s financial or mental plate. These treasures can be used as rewards or incentives for students, enhancing classroom engagement, behavior, and motivation. It’s a simple way to show your appreciation for the teacher’s efforts in creating a positive and rewarding learning environment.

Flower Friday:

Surprise your teacher with a beautiful bouquet of flowers, handpicked from either the store or your yard to brighten up their day! My children and I have this Flower Friday tradition where every Friday morning we pick fresh flowers from the yard to gift to their teachers. Flower Friday is a small gesture, but it’s one that we hope will bring some cheer to our teachers and some color to their classrooms. Even if it’s just a cute little hand full of dandelions.

Gift Cards:

GIFT CARDS, GIFT CARDS, GIFT CARDS! Teachers have never met a Target they didn’t like. Consider giving gift cards as a token of appreciation for teachers. Popular options include gift cards from Target, Amazon, Starbucks, or a local small business.

Join us in showing our teachers some love and appreciation for all that they do!
