Crafter’s Tips:

  • Have baby wipes nearby in case a child is bothered by their hands being too sticky.
  • Apply Modge Podge over pumpkin in sections to prevent the glue from drying before your child has the chance to place tissue squares on it.
  • For younger children, cut large tissue squares to help them work on fine motor skills.
  • For preschool or kindergarten teachers, consider crafting  this pumpkin earlier so that it has time to dry before sending it home with students.

🍂This activity is not only loads of fun, but also makes for a wonderful Fall decoration!

Memory Enhancer:

Depending on the child’s age, you can either allow them to use scissors to cut the tissue squares or encourage them to tear different, unique shapes with their hands. To add an extra element of excitement, consider playing some fun, kid-friendly Halloween music or festive Fall jazz tunes in the background.
